Shame that you guys chose to hold out 3G availability for calls.

As I've personally been using Skype ToGo as a substitute.

Lets wait and see how you fare on WiFi.

Glad to see you finally announce this.

Moshe - no 3G as the operator networks will not allow it. Same with all VoIP players on the iPhone.

@Robert, there is multichat but no "public chat" features through the UI. There may be access through in-chat /commands but I won't know for a few days.

@Roman, Skype Journal is not part of Skype or eBay. We're rather independent, and have been so since we started writing about Skype in 2003.

@Moshe, @Roman, I concur with Anonymous. Apple's current contract with developers (subject to change in the future) states developers may not deliver VoIP over 3G. So Wi-Fi is as much Skype voice as you can get for now.

Does anyone know whether ipod touchs are capable of using this? I can't figure out whether there is a mic for it or not.

What about the iPod Touch?
Everyone seems to be ignoring that, which is weird since it's not actually using the phone part of the iPhone...
