PamFax updates, adds FaxIn, distances from Skype
PamFax is keeping fax alive with its 2.0 update and release for Windows and Macintosh desktops. Big changes:
- Two-way functionality: FaxIn numbers in 27 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA.
- More platforms: Mac version!
- Skype independence: You don't need to be a Skype user, have a Skype account, or use Skype credits any more.
- Click-to-Fax: Extensions for facebook and Salesforce.com.
Makes me wish I knew someone who used a fax.

I tried PamFax immediately after seeing they had - at long last - released a Mac version but it is very buggy, in fact it plain doesn't work for me.
This could well be my fault but their support is non-existent. I posted a ticket on Friday and I am still waiting. Posted another on today and i see it has been given a " low priority" label by default.
Their portal doesn't work properly on Safari 4 beta. The Fax-in number I bought won't receive faxes and isn't even listed in my inbox.
Very disappointing. Particularly as I really thought a decent online fax tool had arrived.
@PamFax: if you see this get in touch quick pls.

Update: 1 week after signing up with them, the service still does not work, my paid-for Fax-in number has disappeared, I am getting no more info from support, they took my money.
So far Pam Fax on Mac doesn't work.

23 days after signing up for Pamfax for mac, the nightmare continues:
- the fax-in service does not work
- tech support is now say they have no trace of my purchase despite the fact that I sent them the order number that appeared on the confirmation email they sent me. Oh, they are also now not even replying to my emails. Well the last reply was to criticize me for sending in multiple tickets.
Pamfax for mac sucks.
Well, it took a posting on the Skype forum for anyone at Pamfax to look into the issue seriously but after more than 3 weeks of no service I can say it does work, finally.

Was going to give it a try but ~ with no customer service once they have your money ~ that sucks !!!
I was going to sign up for PamFax for the Mac ~ but if the customer service is so slow to non existent what's the point !!!
