Leopard's Spots Getting Changed...
The release of the Leopard OS for the Mac is still getting its spots cleaned up. Andy Abramson reports on issues with handling some SIP-based applications. However, he also reports that Gizmo Project and SightSpeed are now working as intended due to the dedication of some employees working through a Saturday today.
Seems there may be a problem with Skype; use it once but don't try to open it again. If you have any experience with this, please use the comments.
I think I'll wait until after the New Year before acquiring a MacBook.

I have tried Skype several times since upgrading to Leopard OS 10.5 and no encountered problems yet. Skype was previously installed before I upgraded the OS.
Moving to the MAC and later to Leopard OS is well worth the change - no regrets.

Yep - major Skype problems - erratic connection and also won't load after quitting.
A HUGE PITA!

I'm suspecting that the firewall caused this. Though not verified yet, I can't open it more than once. That's like after a restart or quit once and reinstallation needed.
That's quite dumb though. Somehow, skype is not that compatible with Leopard.

I have to say that since upgrading to Leopard, my Skype is working perfectly. I've had the 2.7 Beta running since it was available. One other thing I noticed since installing Leopard is the sound quality is amazing....sounds like the call is being conducted in sound booths on both ends!
